Menorah Housing Foundation owns and manages sixteen senior apartment buildings totaling 1093 units, geographically dispersed throughout Los Angeles County. Local community partners assist MHF to inform qualified seniors of affordable housing opportunities. One new building is currently under development on the West Side.

Eligibility Requirements:

• 62 years of age or older at time of application
• Annual earnings of 50% less of Area Median Income
  • $27,750 maximum income for one person households
  • $31,700 maximum income for two person households

Application periods are announced by public notice in local newspapers, at senior centers, easily accessible community sites, and on the Menorah Housing Foundation Leasing phone line at (310) 477-1476. Applicants are selected by lottery for placement on a waiting list. As apartments become available, applicants are interviewed in order of their status on the waiting list, and must provide third party verification of age and income eligibility. Only one application is accepted per household.
