At its Grand Opening in April 2011, the building was named in honor of Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, who was instrumental in achieving the development of the site formerly occupied by a large, unsightly and vacant masonry County building. Menorah Housing Foundation’s modern, attractive residential property now improves the local neighborhood and serves the needs of low-income seniors. |

Vineland Avenue Senior Housing

Menorah Housing Foundation received funding commitments from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development and the City of Los Angeles Housing Department to construct a new 82-unit apartment building at 4900 Vineland Avenue in North Hollywood. The building, scheduled to begin construction in early 2012, will serve very low-income seniors in an active location convenient to retail shopping, neighborhood services and public transit. The site is near the City’s East Valley Multi-Purpose Senior Center and the North Hollywood Park and Recreation Center, both of which offer specialized senior programming and services.
